Art of Jazz is thrilled to have Roberta Gambarini conduct a 2 hour workshop in the Thompson Landry Gallery 2. Doors open at 11:30 am and the workshop runs from 12:00-2:00pm. Gambarini workshops typically explore the art of improvisation, vocal technique, methods of practice, repertoire choices and proper lead sheets. Pianist Don Thompson and bassist Neil Swainson will accompany Ms. Gambarini. Please bring your charts.

Fellini/Rota Jazz
Featuring the Art of Jazz Ensemble
A special presentation of Nino Rota's music, performed by a collection of this year's artists against a backdrop of some of Fellini's most memorable scenes.
Italian native Gambarini is an almost improbably complete singer. Her warm, velvety tone and scat-singing facility recall Fitzgerald; her near-flawless pitch and vast range are reminiscent of Vaughan; and her impeccable diction and the salty spin she puts on vowels conjure the young McRae.
